Eurocom goes Global

London and Lisbon 17 January 2003: It was announced today that the tech specialist Eurocom PR Network will extend to a managed global network.

Speaking at the second annual partner conference in Lisbon, CEO Tom Burgess said that the interest in the Network concept from potential partners across the world as well as clients had been very encouraging. “Our plan is to establish three hubs each eight hours apart in San Francisco, London and Hong Kong”. This will enable clients to implement global strategy with local tactical implementation. In addition there will be sub hubs for selected regional markets such as Central and Eastern Europe, Nordic, Latin America, Africa, Middle East and Australia. At the same time we will be able to offer a very local service to indigenous companies with seamless scalability as they expand into international markets.”

Since its launch in April 2002, Eurocom has signed up 17 partners and 10 affiliates which give 22 offices covering 31 countries in Europe. In addition it has already signed a further four affiliates worldwide with five under discussion which will give coverage in a further 24 countries worldwide. This will make it the world’s largest PR network with a prime specialisation in technology, in terms of countries covered and number of offices.

In December 2002, Eurocom announced an agreement with Upstream Asia in Hong Kong which has offices in Japan, Singapore, Taiwan. Eurocom also established an office in San Francisco run by Susan Spencer in July 2002. It is currently concluding a deal with a specialist PR firm in Buenos Aires which has its own local network and bring give coverage throughout Latin America.

Tom Burgess added: “Our strength is that we can offer a very cost effective PR solution with a full range of marketing support, we can manage campaigns centrally with one billing and reporting point as required. The Network has considerable expertise with a range of major brands as well as small start ups. We are not a loose association of contacts, Eurocom partners are a team of entrepreneurial PR firms committed to working together to capture market share and to deliver excellent results that help clients build businesses in a tough market.”

A re-branding process is being discussed with a formal launch of the enlarged Network later in the year.
