Stonesoft announced today that its StoneGate™ Firewall & VPN will be available for the newly announced IBM eServer™ OpenPower™ systems in early 2005, making it the first enterprise-class firewall and VPN available for OpenPower servers.
StoneGate Firewall & VPN for IBM eServer OpenPower is the essential security component for organizations running business-critical applications on their virtual or physical OpenPower environments. Additionally, StoneGate’s high availability functionalities eliminate downtime of these applications, while optimizing performance. StoneGate builds on OpenPower’s ability to provide high-performance Linux-based computing in a cost-effective manner.
