Songwon appoints Elena Scaltritti as new Sales Director Europe

Ulsan, Korea – January 15, 2013 – Songwon Industrial Group (www.songwon.com) has announced that as of January 1, Elena Scaltritti has taken over the role of Director of Sales for Greater Europe from Dieter Morath, Executive Vice President Sales and Member of the Songwon Industrial Group Executive Committee.

Dieter Morath stated: “This important position is in professional hands with Elena. She has been an exemplary leader in managing European Main Accounts since she joined Songwon in 2011. This extended responsibility will allow her to continue demonstrating her professional approach to customers. Europe is one of our key regions for growth, it is well established, complex and our customers are growing into a globalized market that is highly competitive. Elena is best positioned to ensure Songwon is the partner of choice for polymer additives. She has both deep knowledge and experience dedicated to delivering the highest level of service to our customers.”

Elena started her career at Nalco in the water treatment business and moved to the world of plastic additives where, over a period of 10 years, she has gained invaluable experience. Elena started at Ciba Specialty Chemicals and continued her career in BASF, becoming Pricing Manager in the Performance Chemicals Division. Since her joining Songwon she has demonstrated her ability to successfully manage multi-national accounts during one of the most difficult periods of global economics.
