Rhodia will present two new solutions at Chemspec Europe 2011
Lyon, France, May 12, 2011 ---- From June 15th to June 16th Aroma Performance Enterprise, part of the Rhodia consumer chemical cluster, will be present at Chemspec Europe Exhibit on booth J1.
Rhodia Aroma Performance offers one of the world largest and strongest portfolio in fluoroaliphatics and diphenol intermediates, two product lines based on core integrated technologies and a high number of patented processes.
Taking this opportunity, the Enterprise will present two new solutions: DFAE (Ethyl DiFluoroAcetate) for agrochemical and pharmaceutical markets and new LiTFSI (Lithium salt) applications for electronics.
Created to follow the developments of new agrochemical ingredients, DFAE is currently being requested as building block for pharmaceutical applications.
“DFAE is a highly requested product that Rhodia has developed via a new eco-efficient fluorination process that might represent a breakthrough technology. It’s a brand-new chemical pathway developed in Europe” says Alessandro Chiovato, Aroma Performance Crop Protection, Health and Specialties Business Director.
Chemspec Europe will also be the opportunity for Rhodia to announce the reinforcement of its TFSK / LiTFSI integrated derivatives in new applications for the electronics market like antistatic, conductive and ionic liquid segments.
“The LiTFSI fluorinated lithium salt is used in formulations requiring conductivity or electrostatic charge dissipation. Highly thermally and chemically stable, soluble in water and in most organic solvents, LiTFSI ensures long term durability and higher safety in batteries applications. Therefore LiTFSI is one of the most performing lithium salt in the market.” says Matthieu Helft Aroma Performance R&D and Innovation Director.
