Interplas 2005 experiences another week of industry endorsements

Since the announcement by Reed Exhibitions of revitalized planning for Interplas 2005, industry’s endorsement of the event has been confirmed by support from the sector’s leading trade bodies and, importantly, from their members.

The redoubling of effort and increased resources being programmed into Interplas 2005 by Reed Exhibitions and the shows’ co-sponsors, is inspiring a strong, positive reaction from the UK plastics industry. In the past week this has been evident in an escalation of companies reserving space for their presentation at the exhibition.

Commenting on the new Interplas format, a spokesman for one of the confirming exhibitors, Greg Barstad of Irwin Research & Development summarized a view increasingly being expressed by others throughout the industry: “The new three day Interplas will be more cost effective for us and should deliver a higher concentration of our customers – which will make for a successful event.”

“We are gratified to find that this positive outlook is not just the expression of a few individuals but is, as we are coming to realize, a widely held supportive position,” says Justin Tadman, Reed Exhibitions Group Exhibition Director. “The proof of this lies in the growing number of traditional and new exhibitors confirming their participation at Interplas 2005. Bookings that, in some instances, include an additional uptake of space.”

According to Tadman: “The fact that the new Interplas structure is meeting with approval is a clear signal that in consultation with the industry we are getting the show’s substance right. What is also important is that the registering companies represent the broad span of sector disciplines and this indicates that the show also has the right balance.”

In addition to Irwin Research & Development other new sign-ups for Interplas 2005 during the past week have been: Barco Ltd, Ray-Ran Test Equipment and Kenrich Petrochemicals.
