Rapid Granulator AB establishes representative office for the Middle East
Bredaryd, Sweden - Reflecting the significance of the region for sales of its plastics recycling solutions, Rapid Granulator AB has established a representative office for Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Commencing operation on October 1, 2007, the office of Rapid Middle East is situated in Beirut, Lebanon, and is headed by Mr Elias Gergi El-Khawand.
Mr. El-Khawand, who is Lebanese, has a vast experience of the Middle Eastern plastics machinery market and Rapid granulators in particular, gained predominantly over the last eleven years in his role as sales manager for ACIS, a distributor of Rapid products in the region. In his role as representative for Rapid Middle East, Mr El-Khawand will deal with both Lebanon and Syria directly, while Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Saudi-Arabia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen will be handled through local agents.
According to the company the creation of Rapid Middle East is testament to its policy of a global presence through local strength. “We are expanding our local support in MENA in order to take our business to the next step in this important region,” says Rolf Gren, CEO of Rapid Granulator AB. “By doing so we are able to provide a high standard of granulator know-how, technical expertise and support through colleagues such as Mr El-Khawand, who are naturally familiar with the local way of doing business, and thus help our customers to get the best out of our granulators.”
