New on-line granulator cost evaluation tool from Rapid

Friedrichshafen – Rapid Granulators AB has launched a new, easy to use on-line return on investment (ROI) and cost evaluation tool for granulators on the company’s website www.rapidgranulator.se. After entering a few production parameters and granulator specifications, the programme calculates granulator payback time and lifecycle costs, allowing moulders to have a better understanding of the possible material and other savings that can be achieved by using regrind of sprue and rejects, in addition to virgin material.

“Investing in a granulator is always a smart move, considering the long-term savings on raw materials and other benefits,” said Bengt Rimark, Marketing Manager, Rapid Granulator. “What most users don’t realise, is that the purchase price of a granulator is generally less than 20% of its total lifecycle costs, whereas running costs represent the balance of over 80% of the total costs.
