Multibase, a Dow Corning Company Showcases their Broad Line of Plastics at NPE 2003

CHICAGO, IL (June 22, 2003)—Multibase, a Dow Corning Company, will be at NPE 2003. Multibase, will be showcasing its complete product line including materials such as the Ultra High Molecular Weight Siloxane Polymers, the Nylex™ alloys based on polyamide and polypropylene, and the newest addition TPSiV™ thermoplastic elastomers. Multibase will be located in North Level 3, Hall B2, Booth 4556.

TPSiV™ materials are new elastomers based on proprietary technology that combines the high temperature elastomeric performance of silicone rubber with the melt reprocessability and thermal and chemical resistance of engineering thermoplastics. Multibase will be displaying TPSiV™ material applications such as high performance jackets for automotive and industrial hoses.

Multibase will also be displaying its broad product line of MULTIFLEX®, SEBS and SBS thermoplastic elastomers and its new applications such as PVC replacement for steering wheels and arm rests, tray liners, cup holders and many more interior car parts. A variety of overmolding applications combining Nylex™ and Multiflex™ materials such as A&B pillars and cowl vents and seals will be also showcased.

The company will also display other materials such as its polymer compound products Multipro® , polyolefin compounds used in a variety of applications in the appliance, automotive and furniture industries, as well as Multibatch, mineral filled polyolefin masterbatches mainly used for pearly and white pearl BOPP films.
