HOLLIDAY PIGMENTS ANNOUNCES PRICE INCREASE IN NORTH AMERICA
Holliday Pigments, the world’s largest manufacturer of ultramarine pigments, has announced a price increase of up to 20% across all their product ranges, in North America from May 2007.
The company cites rising energy and manufacturing costs coupled with the weakening dollar as well as new environmental regulations that have constrained capacity, as the key reasons behind the increase. Worldwide demand for technical ultramarine blue pigments continues to rise and capacity has been outstripped in 2006.
Said Robert Rae, CEO of Holliday Pigments, “As the leading ultramarine pigment supplier in the world, we are committed to continued investment to ensure the best quality product reaches our customers. The escalation in raw materials and manufacturing costs, coupled with recent capital investments to meet tough environmental controls mean we can no longer sustain current price levels.”
