Bertrange, Luxembourg – 08 December 2021 – Guardian Glass Europe has launched the new product in its leading SunGuard eXtraSelective product range: Guardian SunGuard SNX 70.^®

The SunGuard SNX 70 is a new triple silver glass that boasts exceptional solar control and close to 70% light transmission, as well as high thermal insulation. However, it also has a unique clean and natural appearance and a subtle quality of riflession that allows you to achieve an extraordinary uniform aesthetic on the contours of the design and different viewing angles.

This means that the SunGuard SNX 70 offers architects the opportunity to introduce more natural light, the ability to improve energy efficiency and comfort, as well as a superior design aesthetic. This in turn can lead to greater well-being for occupants and is particularly important for offices, healthcare and school buildings, where higher levels of natural light could promote concentration, recovery and learning.

The glass is particularly effective when combined with Guardian UltraClear as a base, available as sunGuard SNX 70 Ultra. In standard double-insulated units, this provides 68% light transmission, 32% solar factor and a Ug value of 1.0 W/m2K. Equally impressive, in standard triple glazing, it offers a light transmission of 62%, 30% of the solar factor and a Ug value of 0.5 W/m2K. The superior transparency of the glass means that the views from the inside and outside are more faithful to the color.^®

The SunGuard SNX 70 can also be useful for environmental certification. In addition to having its own EPD (Environmental Product Statement), glass has been independently evaluated under the Cradle to Cradle Certified environmental program.^™ Products and is Bronze certified, with a Gold score in the "Material Reutilization" category.

From an aesthetic point of view, the external reflection of the glass of 13% can give an elegant character to the buildings, helping them to look more alive in the surrounding environment and offering greater visual appeal to passers-by.
