Dynalloy OBCs were introduced by (left to right) Luis Cirihal, Dow Manager for Performance Elastomers and Plastomers, George Biltz, Dow Specialty Plastics and Elastomers Group President, Daniel Dague, GLS President, and Walt Ripple, GLS Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing.DUSSELDORF, GERMANY – Oct. 24, 2007 – GLS Corp., a global leader in the development, manufacture, and supply of high-performance, custom-formulated thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), today announced that - through a licensed agreement with The Dow Chemical Company - it has been granted rights to provide processors with TPEs incorporating the benefits of OBCs. GLS will globally market the new co-branded OBC-based TPEs under the GLS brand, DYNALLOY® OBC Compounds, and with The Dow Chemical Company’s tag line “Powered by INFUSE™ olefin block copolymers.” In addition to six standard grades of DYNALLOY® OBC Compounds, launched here today at Kunstoffe 2007 (K 2007), GLS will offer customers the ability to customize OBC-based TPEs to achieve specific performance properties.

GLS INTRODUCES NEW FAMILY OF TPES BASED ON THE DOW CHEMICAL CO.’S OLEFIN BLOCK COPOLYMER TECHNOLOGY

DYNALLOY® OBC injection-molding and blow-molding TPE grades from GLS Corp. - which are based on INFUSE™ olefin block copolymers and technology licensed from The Dow Chemical Company - offer exceptional softness, a silky feel and a wide range of flow characteristics. Potential applications for standard and custom grades encompass medical, consumer goods, tools, appliances, sporting goods and infant care. DUSSELDORF, GERMANY – Oct. 24, 2007 – Here at Kunstoffe 2007, Germany, GLS Corp., a global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of high-performance, custom-formulated thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), today introduced a new family of TPEs based on INFUSE™ olefin block copolymers (OBC) from The Dow Chemical Company. The new DYNALLOY® OBC injection-molding and blow-molding grades allow GLS to offer customers a broad array of standard and customized TPE alloys for a wide range of applications. With the new DYNALLOY line, GLS has expanded the existing property and application range of OBC technology with exceptional softness, unique feels, a wider range of flow characteristics in injection molding, and introduced a new blow-moldable grade range. DYNALLOY OBCs offer a silky soft touch feel, excellent colorability, isotropic shrinkage, and flow characteristics enabling use in complex molds with long flow paths.

GLS CORP. TO LAUNCH NEW TECHNOLOGY SUITE OF BLOW MOLDING TPEs AT K’ 2007

GLS will showcase at K’ 2007, a new technology portfolio of specialty vibration- and sound-dampening TPE alloys which enable manufacturers to mitigate the negative effects of noise and vibration from products such as hardware tools, footwear, electronics, building materials, personal protection, and acoustic control applications. This new damping technology utilizes mechanical principles for sound deadening across a wide frequency range (20 Hz – 20,000 Hz), and offers a more versatile and lighter-weight/lower-density replacement for competitive engineered plastics. GLS customers can specify grades for overmolding onto a variety of substrates and choose from a range of hardnesses and custom colors. These materials also offer excellent UV protection and can meet UL specifications. MCHENRY, IL – August 02, 2007 – GLS Corp., a global leader in the development, manufacture, and supply of custom-formulated thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), will introduce a new technology suite of blow molding TPEs at Kunststoffe 2007 (K’ 2007), to be held Oct. 24 - 31 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The company will also be showcasing its newest TPE technology breakthroughs, including new high-performance materials with vibration- and sound-damping properties for applications such as power tools and electronics to minimize motor noise, vibration transmission, or shock when dropped.
