GE Healthcare Performance Solutions Enhances Global Team with New Managing Principal in France

BUC, FRANCE – November 22, 2011 – GE Healthcare today announced the appointment of Jean Francois Penciolelli as Managing Principal, GE Healthcare Performance Solutions, France. Together with his team, Jean Francois will be responsible for leading the growth of GE’s Performance Solutions business within the French healthcare market.

Performance Solutions is a division of GE Healthcare that partners with hospitals and health systems across the globe to improve their operational performance so that they are better equipped to succeed amidst the complex challenges facing healthcare today. Performance Solutions leverages GE’s proven management expertise to help clients identify and improve efficiencies and quality of patient care. Jean Francois will lead a team of local strategy, clinical excellence and hospital financial planning consultants with a strong reputation and expertise within the French healthcare market.

Since 2005, the Performance Solutions team in France has worked with healthcare providers as well as regional and national health authorities to help address performance and managerial improvement objectives, improve safety and quality measures, as well as design and implement strategic organizational plans. Performance Solutions has been selected by the Agence Nationale d'Appui à la Performance (ANAP), on their program to enhance efficiency, healthcare quality and increasing staff satisfaction in more than 50 public hospitals throughout France. The team is currently working in many hospital groups as part of the National Performance Improvement Project as well as in Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris on their Transformation Project in 10 hospitals of the group.

Jean Francois brings over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, specifically addressing the issue of sustainable healthcare improvement and IT standardization. In his early career, he held various roles at the French National Institute of Medical Research (INSERM) and Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris. He spent 7 years with Oracle as Director Business Development, Healthcare and Life Sciences for EMEA where he was responsible for coordinating business development activities for national and regional e-Health initiatives and projects.

Most recently, Jean-François Penciolelli was Healthcare Business Development Director for Accenture in France where he focused on addressing EHR, chronic disease and medication management, public health policy as well as other national and regional healthcare information network projects. Jean-François Penciolelli is a graduate from HEC Hospital Management Program and INSEAD Advanced Management Program, did his PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology in Paris VI, holds a Masters in Computer Sciences from Paris XI and his BSc, 1980 from Marseilles Academy.
