U.S. Ambassador to Dedicate Eastman’s Regional Headquarters
Furniture, Signage, Even the Windows Feature Eastman Products
KINGSPORT, Tenn., Nov. 17, 2003 – U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Clifford M. Sobel, will dedicate Eastman Chemical Company’s (NYSE: EMN) new regional headquarters in Capelle aan den IJssel, in ceremonies to be held this Thursday, Nov. 20, at the new facility near Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The facility manages and supports Eastman’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
In addition to housing the company’s regional staff, the new building serves as a showcase for several Eastman’s products. Examples include:
•The red Eastman sign that tops the building is the first use of Eastman’s Kelvx resin for outdoor signage in Europe. Used in similar applications for years outside of Europe, Kelvx is a versatile material that provides long-term durability and temperature resistance.
•The furniture in the company cafeteria on the top floor is made out of Eastman material.
•Eastman resins are used in the adhesive compounds used for installation of the windows.
