The European Marketing Group BV (EMG) strengthens organisation with three new team members
Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands, 18 February 2004 - The European Marketing Group in Bergen op Zoom, a full-service B2B marketing communications agency specialising in the chemicals, general industry and ICT sectors, has recruited three new account staff members. Cora Zaaijer who joins as account manager, together with account executives Folke Markus and Anouk Luykx, are the latest additions in the continued expansion of the agency.
Greg Farrett, general manager of EMG: “At a time when many other agencies are cutting back, we are determined to invest in the future. Cora, Folke and Anouk reinforce the team and allow us to expand the services we provide to our clients and will also help strengthen our customer relationships. Cora, Anouk and Folke each have their own specific marketing communications know-how and experience, and will each help ensure we deliver the quality of service that our key accounts demand.”
Cora Zaaijer (34), account manager, will focus on the Honeywell Chemicals accounts for Europe which include the Refrigerants, Enovate, Specialty Products and Genesolv businesses. On these accounts Cora will manage the development, planning and implementation of press- and marketing communications strategies at a European and international level Cora joins EMG from Applied Communications, a high-tech focused agency in Amsterdam, where she was responsible for pan-European and Benelux campaigns for clients such as NAI, Siebel Systems, Vignette, Avaya, Veritas and Redback Networks. Her experience and knowledge in the hi-tech sector will also benefit the development of the specialist ICT practice within EMG, where Cora will lead various account programmes.
Anouk Luykx (29), account executive, has also been appointed to support the Honeywell Chemicals accounts in addition to working on a press relations programme for 3M Europe. Anouk comes from GE Plastics, where she was responsible for after-sales support for clients in the U.K. and the Benelux. Her technical and industrial background combined with strong customer relations experience will make an excellent addition to the account team.
Folke Markus (28) has also been taken on as account executive. Folke also previously worked for GE Plastics in Bergen op Zoom, where she gained wide experience as ‘Issue Resolution Leader’ in international customer management and in supporting marketing communications activities. Folke will strengthen the team responsible for the Victrex and ISP accounts where her industry experience and strong language skills will aid the management of these pan-European communications programmes.
