Distrupol to distribute masterbatches and colour compounds from Matrix Plastics in the Benelux

Distrupol, a member company of Univar and a leading European polymer distributor, technical service provider and application development partner, is to undertake the distribution in the Benelux of the masterbatches and colour compounds produced by Matrix Plastics Ltd.

Matrix Plastics Ltd., one of the largest independent manufacturers of masterbatches in the United Kingdom, already has several customers in the region. Through the collaboration with Distrupol, Matrix Plastics will gain wider access to this important market through Distrupol’s existing Benelux customer network. Additionally, their existing customers will benefit from the local technical and application development support provided by Distrupol.

The Matrix Plastics product range is an important addition to the existing Distrupol product range, according to Rick Sodenkamp, Managing Director of Distrupol in the Benelux. “Matrix supplies both universal and polymer-specific masterbatches for almost all thermoplastic materials. The company also supplies a wide choice of additives, including fire retardants, antioxidants, light stabilisers, and antistatic additives, as well as special colour effects. By deciding to work with Distrupol their products are now available to all of our customers. That’s good for us, it’s good for Matrix and that’s good for our customers.”

The company operates from Slough, UK, to the west of London, from where it serves the European and Asian markets. Matrix is currently establishing a new factory in Thailand, which will be fully operational in January 2004.
