New German-language Magazine for Medical Device Manufacturers Announced
WIESBADEN, GERMANY, May 10, 2005 — Access Communications Deutschland has announced that in June 2005 it will officially launch DeviceMed, a new German-language trade magazine to serve the manufacturers of medical devices. The magazine will be published ten times a year and distributed to qualified professionals of the medical device manufacturing industry within Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and other German bordering countries with German-speaking populations.
Germany’s medical device market is by far the largest in Europe, ranking third worldwide behind only those of the U.S. and Japan, and is considered a strong growth arena for suppliers to its manufacturers. This commercial area is even stronger when Austria and the German-speaking parts of Switzerland and other neighbouring countries are included. DeviceMed will be the first German-language trade publication to cover the manufacturing of medical devices for this strategically important market.
DeviceMed will be designed to help its readers quickly learn about and understand a range of critical subjects for their productivity needs. Every regular issue will include coverage of industry news, regulatory issues, new products and services. The magazine will also offer interviews with industry leaders, case studies, and other subjects relating to the medical device industry in Europe and the world.
DeviceMed’s publishing team will be headed up by two veterans from the medical device manufacturing industry, Clayton Camburn and Douglas Sellers, both of whom live and work in Continental Europe. Camburn was one of the founders of Canon Communications, and Sellers served as Canon’s European director of sales during the 1990s. They started Access Communications together in 1999, and since then the company’s main European office has been in Wiesbaden, Germany, just west of Frankfurt.
Access Communications Deutschland is part of the Access Communications Group of companies, an international communications company specializing in trade publications, websites, and trade events.
