Melio® WF-5246
New aqueous hydrophobing agent from Clariant
Muttenz, 6 June 2011 – There are many unfinished leathers on the market. Especially for shoes, but also for clothing and leather goods, nubuck as well as splits and suede leathers are widely used. For all these leathers water drop resistance or water drop repellency is requested.
By simply overspraying the leathers with Clariant’s new aqueous hydrophobing agent Melio® WF-5246, a water dilutable, fluorinated polymer, high degrees of water drop repellency can be achieved. Melio® WF-5246 has the following relevant properties:
• Very highly effective
• Suitable for finished and unfinished leathers
• Can be used for over sprays as well as for pre grounds
