Borealis appoints Resin Express as European distributor in automotive
Borealis, a leading innovative plastics provider, has appointed Resin Express as a distributor in Europe for its polypropylene (PP) used in automotive solutions with effect from May 15, 2006.
Resin Express will complement Ashland as distributors for a wide range of solutions to the European automotive market on behalf of Borealis including Daplen™, a family of thermoplastic solutions that help make cars light, energy efficient and safe, and Borcom™ microcomposites, a new generation of products to minimise weight and costs.
Commenting on the appointment, Paul Turner, Vice President Engineering Applications at Borealis, says: “By signing this agreement, Borealis can benefit from Resin Express’ extensive European local sales organisation and technical capability to better serve our small and medium-size customers. This agreement allows Borealis to increase its focus on innovation and technology and create value through application development and partnership where Borealis, Resin Express and our customers will greatly benefit.”
