Belden presents Hirschmann™ WLAN products at Hanover fair
Hall 8 Stand B 30
At this year’s Hanover Fair – 4-8 April 2011 – Belden will present a number of innovations. One of these is the Hirschmann™ HiLCOS 8.50 WLAN firmware. Installable on all access points and clients of the BAT series, this is currently the only firmware on the market that supports fully-integrable and easy-to-manage WLAN networks in both Profinet and EtherNet/IP networks. Further highlights include BAT300 access points that support the IEEE802.11n (300MBit/s) standard and BAT WLAN controllers that allow simple operation of up to 100 access points. Also on dislay will be a large range of antennas, including models that support MIMO technology (multiple input, multiple output). Another highlight is the Industrial HiVision suite of network management software, which can now also integrate WLAN components.
Belden Product Manager Olaf Schilperoort says: “Wireless LAN (WLAN) continues to gain ground in automation. Even extensive WLAN networks are now easy to set up and operate securely. Belden has played a leading role in developing this technology from the very beginning, and now offers a broad range of WLAN products that have been specifically designed for use in industrial environments.” Belden offers a comprehensive Hirschmann™ product portfolio for industry-standard high-availability radio data networks.
