Future Technology Engineering B.V . appoints Arie Brouwer, General Manager
Future Technology Engineering B.V., the Nuenen (Netherlands)-based specialists in design and engineering of production systems, announces the appointment of Arie Brouwer to the position of General Manager. Mr. Brouwer will provide the strategic direction for the business and brings many years’ experience of senior project management in high-technology and high-volume markets.
In 1987, Mr. Brouwer gained his MSc in Mechatronics from the University of Twente in Enschede, Netherlands. He then joined Royal Philips Electronics, where as international project manager, based in Eindhoven, Netherlands, and Hasselt, Belgium, he spearheaded the development of high-precision optical disc systems intended for large-scale production. Often in collaboration with Philips’ strategic partners in the UK and Japan, the teams headed by Mr. Brouwer oversaw the timely completion of product and production lines, so that Philips and its OEM customers could bring their multi-million selling CD ROM and DVD ROM units to market, on schedule.
Whilst still working at Philips, he gained his Master of Business Science from the University of Nijenrode. In 2000, he joined the London-based leading global management, systems and technology consultancy, PA Consulting Group, where his role was to manage product and service development programmes, for, amongst others, a leading European digital service provider.
Mr. Brouwer comments: “Future Technology Engineering has exceptional high-end tool-making expertise, a proven track record in delivering complex, functional solutions, and a philosophy based on innovation and entrepreneurship. Together, these valuable assets provide an ideal platform on which to build the company into the leading global supplier of mass-market engineering solutions for high-technology markets.”
