Avery Dennison® launches new Digital Wall Film portfolio with three new textures

OEGSTGEEST, the Netherlands — March 8, 2016 — Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions announced today the launch of a new Digital Wall Film portfolio, including three new textured permanent wall vinyls: Canvas, Stone and Stucco. The new MPI™ 8000 Wall Film series enables quick, customizable and creative wall vinyl printing applications. Non-textured films include a permanent adhesive, an Easy Apply™ option and a removable adhesive. All the new wall vinyl films will be displayed at the Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions stand at the FESPA Digital 2016 tradeshow in Amsterdam (Hall 1, stand E30, March 8-11, 2016).

“The new Avery Dennison Digital Wall Films portfolio allows customers to create dynamic, custom wall vinyl graphics with a variety of textures for interiors, retail premises and trade show applications,” said Oliver Guenther, marketing director, Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions Europe. “These digital wall vinyls are easy to install and open up a whole new spectrum of creative possibilities, including printable films with canvas, stone and stucco textures. The wall vinyl printing quality now achievable can be used to avoid the need for more expensive natural materials and decorating techniques – we have taken wall graphics to a new dimension.”

High performance wall vinyl printing

Wall vinyl printing MPI™ 8000 films are digitally printable with solvent, eco/mild solvent, latex and UV curable inks. Unprinted, the textured and non textured wall graphics films are durable up to four years.

“The new MPI™ 8000 films print beautifully with excellent colour clarity and saturation,” said Eduard Hoogendijk from PPP Netherlands. “We printed all of the three new textures: MPI™ 8726 Canvas, Stone and Stucco for our booth at FESPA Digital inspiration room at the Fespa Printeriors and we were impressed because the light disbursed perfectly and the textures really gave an extra dimension to the prints.”

With the option of the three textures with permanent adhesive and the non-textured with permanent adhesive, an Easy Apply™ option and a removable adhesive, the MPI™ 8000 series can be used to create unique short- and longer-term wall graphics in hotels, commercial space, retail areas, exhibitions and more. The MPI™ 8000 films are thick, making them extremely easy to apply, with excellent opacity ensuring that the underlying wall is completely concealed.
