NEW DISTRIBUTION CENTERS IN SHENYANG AND WUHAN MARK MAJOR EXPANSION OF AVERY DENNISON'S FOOTPRINT IN CHINA

SHENYANG, China - October 29, 2013 - Avery Dennison celebrated a strategic milestone in China with the opening of two new distribution centers in northeast and central China in the past three months.

The distribution center opening in Shenyang in October combined with the Wuhan center that opened in July underscore Avery Dennison’s commitment to help the China labeling industry expand and grow.

"The center we're opening today, and the Wuhan center we opened three months ago, underline the rapid growth of the China labeling industry and Avery Dennison’s commitment in helping our customers in northeast and central China to efficiently manage their inventory and responsiveness to their customer needs.” noted Georges Gravanis, vice president and general manager, Materials Group - Asia Pacific, Avery Dennison, at the launch of the Shenyang center. “These two centers are closer to our customers and allow us to offer more flexible, responsive and convenient service. We are determined to continue to provide quality products and services that truly set us apart in terms of speed and efficiency."

The Shenyang center’s storage capability will exceed 3 million square meters of materials, and its processing capacity will reach 100,000 sq m. The delivery time will speed up by up to 70 percent, reducing from four to seven days to one to three days. The Wuhan center is already providing similar benefits to Avery Dennison's fast-growing central China customer base, ensuring stable access to high-quality products that sharpen customers' competitive edge.

Lavish ceremonies were held to mark the opening of both centers, which were attended by local dignitaries in each city, a host of customers and senior Avery Dennison executives.

"It's exciting to be growing so rapidly in China, not only in terms of shipments and production capacity, but also in terms of our geographic spread across the country," said Jim Heng Lee, vice president and general manager, Materials Group - Greater China, Avery Dennison. "We're grateful for the support of the two cities that play host to our new distribution centers. I believe that our customers in and around Shenyang and Wuhan will quickly experience the benefits of having a local distribution center right on their doorsteps.”
