Afa Dispensing Group unveils eco-friendly aerosol-replacement applications using Flair™ technology at Interpack 2011

Afa Dispensing Group (Afa) will launch exciting new advances in aerosol replacement at Interpack 2011 with the debut of packaging and dispensing applications based on its revolutionary Flair™ technology. Afa is a world leader in technologically advanced liquid dispensing systems.

Products from the hygiene and sanitation, personal care, and home and garden sectors, will demonstrate the practical, cost-effective and environmentally-friendly benefits of the Flair™ platform for as a dispensing platform for liquids, fluids, high-viscosity products, soft food and a variety of other products that are susceptible to oxygen degradation.

Flair™ is an air-based, all-plastic, highly-effective, non-pressurized alternative to aerosols. It offers the excellent spray pattern and sustained spray of an aerosol, with consistent dispensing in quality and quantity, however without environmentally-harmful VOCs. It also provides a safer, non-pressurised replacement packaging solution as no propellant gases are used.

Flair™ allows consistent dispensing in quality and quantity of a small droplet sized spray from start to finish regardless of viscosity, for both periodic and continuous applications. The product can be dispensed as a foam, spray, mousse or plain liquid, with or without measured doses.

Products have a longer shelf-life and sterility due to the airtight nature of the system. This helps branded products to be differentiated in the marketplace.

Flair™ offers all-round cost price advantages, as the packaging cost of the liquid is significantly lower when compared to the cost of traditional aerosol packaging.

Flair™ technology is the latest advance from Afa to herald a shift in traditional packaging approaches that support brand differentiation across a wide range of markets and applications.
