Dow Corning to Acquire Multibase S.A.

Dow Corning RubberMidland, Mich. - Dow Corning Corp. today announced its intent to acquire Multibase S.A. of France, a leading independent thermoplastics compounder serving the automotive, appliance and packaging industries. The Board of Directors for each company has approved the plan. Final approval by Multibase shareholders is expected in April, with the acquistion expected to be finalized by April 30. Certain government approvals in Europe are required prior to the completion of the transaction as well.
