Honeywell Europe Names Commercial and Sales Manager for the Enovate™ 3000 (HFC-245fa) foam blowing agent
Honeywell Fluorine Products Europe has appointed Björn Hofman as Commercial Manager, EMEA, , for the Enovate™ 3000 blowing agent, developed for the foam processing market. Hofman will report to James Harris, Managing Director of Honeywell Fluorine Products Europe and will be working out of the Leuven office in Belgium.

Honeywell has appointed Richard V. Preziotti as Vice President & General Manager of its Fluorine Products business worldwide. Mr. Preziotti will be responsible for driving the fluorine business forward, which includes Honeywell’s refrigerants and blowing agent businesses.

Plastics and Processing Additives divests Lead Stabilisers business
December 5, 2001- Following the announcement in August of this year, regarding its intention to discontinue its lead stabilizers and related rigid plastic applications business, Akzo Nobel’s business unit Plastics and Processing Additives, which trades as Akcros Chemicals, has signed an agreement for a Management Buy-Out (MBO) by a team of key personnel on December 3, 2001. The MBO-team will form a new company under the name of Allstab, which will continue the Akcros Chemicals operations in Dueren, Dahlem (Germany) and Roermond (Netherlands). Akcros Chemicals will keep responsibility for the Rigids Stabilisers business during the first quarter of 2002 and will transfer the business to Allstab in April 2002.

Akcros Chemicals and PolyOne Formulators UK in new co-operation to speed-up product distribution
Akcros Chemicals and PolyOne Formulators UK Ltd., formerly Acrol, have announced a co-operation that will significantly reduce delivery times for Akcros PVC processing additives to UK customers, particularly in respect of small lot orders. As from January 1, 2002, small lot orders of Akcros stabilisers and other additives for PVC industry customers throughout the UK will be distributed by PolyOne Formulators’ established network.
