Clariant awarded RSPO Mass Balance certification for Asia Pacific and European production sites

With this latest certification, Clariant is now able to offer RSPO MB certified palm-based ingredients to customers in the Personal and Home Care industry from all its relevant facilities in the Asia Pacific (APAC) and European regions.

The biotechnological process was awarded first place in the Process Innovations category and thus prevailed against 14 competitors.

Clariant performs groundbreaking for new Healthcare Packaging plant in India
Muttenz, January 20, 2016 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, performed the groundbreaking ceremony of a new manufacturing plant in Cuddalore, for moisture-control products, intended for the pharma industry. In December 2015, Clariant had announced plans to invest CHF 10 million in this Healthcare Packaging plant, that will support the growing generic pharmaceutical industry in India. The investment will be implemented through its wholly owned subsidiary in India.

Clariant and CB&I to design world's largest single-train dehydrogenation unit in China
Munich, January 19, 2016 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Refinery Co. Ltd to develop an extensive propane and butane dehydrogenation unit in cooperation with CB&I. The project includes the license and engineering design of the co-processing unit, which is to be built in Dalian, Liaoning Province, China.
