BERLIN, 27 May, 2008 – At the Berlin Air Show booth #9213, Hall 9, DSM Dyneema BV and Capewell Components LLC, a US manufacturer of military aerial delivery and life support systems, are jointly showcasing a new military air cargo pallet and net system featuring Dyneema®, the world’s strongest fiber™. The new pallet and cargo net system delivers an unmatched combination of durability, low maintenance, very low weight and mass for easier handling, expanded freight capacity, the ability to fly longer and at higher altitudes, environmentally conscious design, and better fuel economy. Thanks to the exceptional strength-to-weight ratio provided by Dyneema® High Performance PolyEthylene (HPPE) fiber, the new Capewell pallet and net system is the lightest in the world.
PPG Industries recently reported record sales for the first quarter of $3.7 billion, surpassing the prior year’s first quarter results by 41 percent. First quarter net income was $100 million, or 61 cents per share, comprising net income from continuing operations of $87 million, or 53 cents per share, and income from discontinued operations, net of tax, of $13 million, or 8 cents per share. 
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 11 December 2007 – Office Depot, one of the world’s largest sellers of office products, has chosen Spring Global Mail as its sole supplier for European mail distribution. The contract, worth EUR 180 million over a three year period, will see Spring managing the distribution of 175 million catalogues each year across ten European countries.
Amsterdam, 22 November 2007 – On 15 November 2007, the European Court of Justice issued a ruling about the interpretation of the EU regulation that allows Posts to keep international mail under their monopoly. If this ruling is taken over by the Spanish Supreme Court, this will open up further opportunities for Spring Global Mail and other postal service providers in cross border mail services throughout Europe.
Over 800 exhibitors from 31 countries will participate. An estimated 35,000 visitors from around the world will attend. This is the result of a new trade fair concept aimed at generating even more international interest. The guiding principle is to bestow Europort Maritime the status of a modern meeting point for state-of-the-art technology and systems.
