SONGWON Industrial Group releases Q1/2018 Financial Results
SONGWON Industrial Group (www.songwon.com) today released its audited financial results for the first quarter of 2018, ended March 31, 2018. Recording a positive start to the year, the Group achieved sales of 190,472 Mil. KRW, marking an increase in revenue of 8.9% when compared to sales in Q1 of the previous year (Mil. KRW 174,965). During Q1/2018, EBITDA and EBIT margins increased to 12.4% and to 8.1% respectively.
SONGWON Industrial Group, the second largest manufacturer of polymer stabilizers in the world, is once again exhibiting at this year’s Chinaplas in Shanghai, China (Stand J45 in Hall 8.2H). The company will be showcasing its solutions designed to match industry needs, including light and heat stabilizers, antioxidants, thermoplastic polyurethanes, PVC stabilizers and plasticizers.
Having started to develop functional monomers about two years ago, SONGWON has now begun bulk manufacture at its production site in Ulsan, South Korea. These monomers provide resins and polymers with special functions, one of the most important being improvement of the physical and chemical properties of the final product. Applications include resins, sealants, adhesives and engineering plastics designed for use in coatings, the automotive sector and electronic packaging.
To ensure the availability of SONGNOX® 5650 worldwide, SONGWON has started to manufacture the product at its Panoli plant in Gujarat, India.
