Weight management benefits of chicory root fibres confirmed via systematic review with meta-analyses
A new systematic literature review with meta-analyses, conducted by Reimer et al, demonstrates that chicory root fibre intake promotes a significant reduction in body weight, body mass index (BMI), fat mass, waist circumference and, to a certain extent, body fat percentage. Based on this review, there is now even stronger evidence to show that supplementation with chicory root fibre can lead to clinically meaningful reductions in body weight and other weight management parameters.

Clariant begins construction of second high performance additives production line in Cangzhou, China
Clariant is expanding its Cangzhou production site for the manufacture of the multifunctional additive Nylostab S-EED. The new, second production line in the Hebei Province of China, will jointly be owned and operated by Clariant and its local partner Beijing Tiangang Auxiliary Co., Ltd. Perstorp acquires OQ Chemicals Nederland B.V.
Leading global specialty chemicals innovator Perstorp, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Malaysia’s PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG), today announced Perstorp Holding AB has acquired 100 percent of the shares of OQ Chemicals Nederland B.V. from OQ Chemicals GmbH. The deal provides Sweden-based Perstorp with full ownership and control over all of the Dutch company’s production assets, related technology and employees.
