Alpha Packaging acquires Dutch plant from Graham Packaging Company, targets European expansion
ST. LOUIS, MO – November 7, 2017 – Alpha Packaging Inc. announced today that it has acquired a plant in Etten-Leur, the Netherlands, from Graham Packaging Company. The transaction – for which terms were not disclosed – was completed on November 2nd.

DSM signs technology partnership agreement with Toyota Motorsport GmbH
Royal DSM, a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, has signed a “One DSM” framework technology partnership agreement with Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG), a 100% subsidiary of the Toyota Motor Corporation. The agreement involves all DSM businesses active in supplying materials and technology to the automotive sector – Engineering Plastics, Dyneema® (ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fiber), and 3D Printing including Somos® for stereolithography (SLA), and other technologies like Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF).

Clariant's sunliquid® cellulosic ethanol technology to support China's 2020 bioethanol-gasoline mandate
Shanghai, November 6, 2017 – Clariant, a world-leader in specialty chemicals, introduced its sunliquid technology for the production of cellulosic ethanol, a second generation biofuel, at its media event in Beijing today. The sunliquid technology effectively converts agricultural residues such as cereal straw, into cellulosic ethanol for vehicles. This new technology can contribute to China's plans to use a bioethanol-gasoline nationwide by 2020 as recently announced by the National Development and Reform Commission and National Energy Administration (NEA).

Binnenvaart moet snel verduurzamen
Wil de binnenvaart de schoonste modaliteit blijven ten opzichte van weg en spoor, dan moet de sector versneld verduurzamen. Met die dringende boodschap komt het CBRB tijdens zijn Binnenvaart Jaardiner op 24 november dat als thema heeft De groene versnelling. Tempo is nu echt vereist, stelt deze brancheorganisatie. Het CBRB is dan ook positief over het kabinetsplan om met de sector een Green Deal te sluiten.
