Borouge announces further strategic expansion of polyolefins operations beyond Borouge 2
Borouge, the leading provider of innovative, value creating plastics solutions today announced that it has initiated the feasibility study for Borouge 3: a further expansion of its polyolefin operations in Abu Dhabi to add approximately 2.5 million tonnes per year of capacity by end of 2014.

EXATEC amplía sus capacidades de tecnología avanzada para ofrecer un servicio integral para el acristalamiento de vehículos
MANNHEIM, Alemania — 7 de abril de 2008 — Para ayudar a satisfacer la demanda de los clientes de utilizar vehículos que hagan un uso más eficiente del combustible, la industria del automóvil está centrándose en soluciones de acristalamiento alternativas que permitan reducir el peso del vehículo y ayuden a economizar en el uso de combustible. EXATEC LLC, empresa subsidiaria de SABIC Innovative Plastics, está ampliando su gama de tecnologías de revestimiento con el fin de poder ofrecer a los diseñadores nuevas capacidades en acristalamiento de vehículos utilizando la resina Lexan* de policarbonato (PC). Para ello, las oficinas centrales de EXATEC en Wixom (Michigan, EE.UU.) han ampliado sus instalaciones con el objeto de mejorar el desarrollo de procesos y la realización de prototipos, especialmente para sistemas de techos panorámicos de gran tamaño. Gracias a esta inversión en nuevas tecnologías de proceso, EXATEC será capaz de ofrecer soluciones de productos avanzadas y excelente soporte técnico a los clientes del sector automotriz.
