Distrupol hits target with power module box moulded from DuPont Crastin resin
Combination of the accurate materials specification and rapid supply service provided by polymer distributor Distrupol with the one-stop-shop, rapid tooling and technical moulding skills of Dudley Associates enabled the power management division of Semelab, the designer and manufacturer of semiconductor components, to receive prototype parts of a power module box in production materials within two weeks of supplying computerised drawings.

Borealis, un fornitore leader di materiali poliolefinici, ha lavorato con la Bosch Siemens, il principale OEM d’elettrodomestici, per sviluppare la prima vasca di lavaggio interamente in polipropilene realizzata in Europa. Questo sviluppo, che può essere considerato una vera e propria tappa fondamentale nel settore delle lavastoviglie, è stato possibile grazie al PP MB350WG della Borealis, un nuovo grado studiato specificamente per la sostituzione dell'acciaio inossidabile tradizionalmente usato nell'ambiente altamente corrosivo tipico di questo tipo d’applicazione.

Il supporto tecnico di Borealis si rivela determinante nello sviluppo di una nuova vasca per lavastoviglie in polipropilene
Borealis, uno dei maggiori produttori di poliolefine, ha sviluppato un compound di polipropilene utilizzabile al posto dell’acciaio inox all’interno delle lavastoviglie. Il nuovo materiale è frutto di un programma di stretta collaborazione avviato con l’azienda produttrice di elettrodomestici Bosch Siemens.

GREAT LAKES ACQUIRES NON-STAINING ANTIOXIDANTS BUSINESS FROM FLEXSYS AMERICA
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA—Great Lakes Chemical Corporation (NYSE:GLK) today announced it has acquired Flexsys America’s non-staining phenolic antioxidants business that includes process technology associated with Santonox® TBMC, Santovar® TAHQ, and Santowhite® BBMC. Great Lakes will market these products under its established line of Lowinox® non-staining antioxidants, which protect against oxygen degradation and discoloration during processing. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
