Rapid Granulator AB introduces a new dedicated granulator series for clean room applications at Fakuma 2003, hall B1 stand 7107, Friedrichshafen, Germany, from October 14 to 18. 
DSM Engineering Plastics has released Akulon® XP, a new revolutionary barrier resin based on polyamide 6 (PA6), for multi-layer oxygen barrier films. The new material differs from normal Polyamide 6 resins through its exceptional processing characteristics that allow dramatic productivity gains to be realized.
DSM Engineering Plastics' Stanyl® PA46 range is known for offering high performance similar to LCP and PPS – even sometimes PEEK – whilst offering ease of processing and design typical for PA6, PA66 or PBT. With the introduction of Stanyl® TW241F12, a new, high-performance, 60% glass fibre-reinforced polyamide 46 (PA46). Stanyl® now offers the highest stiffness at elevated temperatures to be found in glass fiber reinforced semi-crystalline thermoplastics, giving greater opportunities for metal replacement. In addition to stiffness, Stanyl® TW241F12 provides high levels of resistance to creep and fatigue—with less mass than competing materials.
With its Alpha single-screw extruder series tailored to profile extrusion, Cin-cinnati Extrusion is offering its customers a convincing machine concept. Since the introduction of this new, standardized machine series at K 2001, more than 160 Alpha extruders have already been sold worldwide. Now the Vienna machine manufacturer has once more responded to current market trends by adding two new Alpha models to this successful line, one with grooved feed-bushing, and another with fine-grooved feed bushing.
