Omron demonstrates how smart data boosts process efficiency at CFIA
Omron will be at the CFIA event in Rennes, from 13-15 March, demonstrating how it can create smart production facilities that help solve the challenges faced by today’s food and beverage industry. Omron’s complete robotics and automation system delivers greater flexibility to deal with increasing SKU numbers, together with better data collection and reporting. The system on show at the Omron stand (Hall 2 Booth A4-B3) combines different applications and uses ‘smart’ data to deliver tailored production efficiency to meet actual demand.

Clariant showcases safe and environmental friendly products at Neo Functional Material 2018
Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, will take part in the Neo Functional Material 2018 exhibition to be held on February 14-16 at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan. At the exhibition dedicated to showcasing the latest advances made in functional materials, Clariant will feature its products with a strong safety and environmental friendly profile, as well as proven sustainability advantages. These include JMAC, Genamin Gluco 50, high molecular weight PEGs and wetting and dispersing agents for food packaging.
Clariant, a world leader in Specialty Chemicals, and its Healthcare Packaging business unit, is introducing a new brand name to encompass all of the products and technology related to equilibrium relative humidity (ERH) stabilization. The announcement is being made at Pharmapack Europe 2018 (Paris, 7 & 8 February), where the company is exhibiting on Stand E14.
Simplifying the route to smart-label packaging is the focus of a new Intelligent Labelling Solutions initiative from Avery Dennison. The Intelligent Labelling portfolio supports label converters as they explore new and sometimes unfamiliar opportunities in labelling and packaging. With a very broad range of options, the portfolio helps to maximise not only well understood capabilities, for example individually serialized digital print, but also evolving state-of-the-art technologies such as RFID.
