Clariant’s ReforMax® LDP Plus: a new generation of reforming catalysts with ultra-low pressure drop
Munich, March 14, 2017 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced the launch of a new generation of high-performance catalysts for the steam reforming process in the production of hydrogen, ammonia and methanol. The new ReforMax 330 LDP Plus and ReforMax 210 LDP Plus catalysts are designed with a unique and innovative 8-hole flower-like configuration that ensures an extremely low pressure drop in the tubular reforming reactor while offering outstanding catalyst activity and selectivity.

Clariant and KBR supply turnkey design for low-cost, high-efficiency ammonia synthesis in Indonesia
Munich, January 11, 2017 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced that it is providing total catalyst solutions for two major ammonia production plants in Indonesia, in cooperation with its licensing partner KBR. The new projects rely on KBR’s process technologies combined with a complete range of Clariant catalysts for the entire ammonia production process. Not only do the partners offer a turnkey design, but also an advanced solution that significantly reduces ammonia production costs while increasing plant efficiency.

Munich, November 8, 2016 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced the launch of its new high-performance ethyl benzene dehydrogenation catalyst StyroMax® UL3. Thanks to its proprietary design, the catalyst achieves outstanding activity and selectivity at conditions of ultra-low steam-to-oil ratio (also known as steam-to-hydrocarbon ratio, SHR). Thereby, it produces styrene monomer far more efficiently than many other state-of-the-art catalysts. StyroMax UL3 was officially launched at the Clariant Styrene Seminar 2016, which was held from October 12 to 14 in Xi’an, China.
