Solutia Expands Presence in China by Opening New Saflex® Manufacturing Plant in Suzhou
SUZHOU, China and ST. LOUIS -- September 21, 2007 -- Solutia Inc. (OTCBB: SOLUQ) today celebrated the grand opening of its new plant in Suzhou, China. The plant is a manufacturing site for the company’s Saflex® business. Saflex is the world’s leading producer and seller of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayers. The Suzhou plant site is ideally suited for future expansion of Saflex and for other Solutia businesses.

Rohm and Haas Strengthens its Global Ion Exchange Resins Supply Network
Shanghai, China, September 26, 2007 ---- Rohm and Haas’s ion exchange resin facility in China is one of four Rohm and Haas ISO-certified sites expanding operations for a wide range of ion exchange resins manufacture. The expansion complements various developments already underway at the company’s network of ion exchange resin sites in the USA, Europe and Asia.
At K 2007, DuPont Performance Elastomers (DPE) will announce the launch of Viton® FreeFlow™ Z110 and Z210 process aids for polyolefins — two important additions to the company’s proprietary Z Technology™ products for plastics masterbatchers and producers of extruded sheet, films and other thin-walled structures — and will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the commercialization of Viton®, which led to the creation of the fluoroelastomers industry. In addition, DPE will showcase Hypalon® chlorosulfonated polyethylene, Neoprene polychloroprene, and Vertex™ seal technology.
