Shanghai, China, July 27, 2007 — The fourth distribution center for Rohm and Haas Paint and Coatings Materials’ (PCM) in China, has been operating since July 2007. The Southwest Distribution Center, is located in Chengdu National Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hongan Chemical Industry Park. It serves the entire Southwest China region, including Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and Chongqing. The distribution center completes Rohm and Haas’ sales network in China, and speeds up the feedback to customers’ needs in Southwest China.

Knauf will build a new plasterboard manufacturing plant in Taicang, China with the initial (first phase) capacity of 30 million m2, per year, this state-of-the-art facility will be capable of producing more than 100 million m2 of safe, environmentally friendly and energy efficient plasterboard systems each year.
