Songwon opens new Swiss European Headquarter and Customer Service Center

Milliken & Company today announced that the Düsseldorf (Germany) Regional Court has issued a provisional pan-European injunction against Korea’s Fountain Trading Company for infringement of Milliken’s Millad® and Millad 3988 trademarks. According to the injunction, Fountain Trading is prohibited from using the designation Millard and/or Millard 3988 for the characterization of polymer additives, and from producing, offering, advertising, selling, or marketing these goods.

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 20, 2007 – PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ICI India Ltd., Mumbai, India, to facilitate the acquisition of ICI’s premium automotive refinish business. Upon closing, the business would be acquired by Asian PPG Industries Ltd., a 50 percent joint venture of PPG and Asian Paints Ltd., also of Mumbai. The closing is scheduled for mid-March and is subject to certain conditions. The transaction is valued at approximately $12 million.
Feb. 25 2007, PPG Industries, the world's leading manufacturer of coatings, glass and chemicals, held a ground breaking ceremony in Zhangjiagang and plans to build up the first resin plant in China.
