Une nouvelle étude, réalisée par Jackson et al., démontre que la consommation d’oligofructose, une fibre alimentaire prébiotique, seule ou combinée avec l’oligosaccharide issu du lait maternel humain, le 2’fucosyllactose, favorise une augmentation significative des bifidobactéries dans l’intestin, et peut ainsi entrainer une amélioration substantielle de l’humeur chez les adultes en bonne santé présentant des signes légers à modérés d’anxiété et de dépression.
