Interplas 2005 wins out in online survey
Interplas 2005 has topped the ratings in a poll conducted by PEplus to ascertain the level of market support for the established Interplas trade show and for the recently announced PDM05 exhibition, also scheduled for presentation in the UK in 2005. Of those surveyed 83% said that they would be visiting Interplas.

Bold New Plan for Interplas 2005 endorsed by leading UK trade associations
Interplas organiser, Reed Exhibitions, has announced the framework of a bold new plan designed to raise significantly the benefits of participation in this major international plastics and rubber exhibition. Developed in consultation with a broad cross-section of industry members, the new plan has been endorsed for Interplas 2005 by leading trade bodies that include the Plastics Machinery Manufacturers and Distributors Association (PMMDA), British Plastics Federation (BPF), Gauge and Toolmakers Association (GTMA) and The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IoM3).

Interplas 2002 defies UK economic downturn
There has been considerable upheaval in the UK plastics and rubber industry since Interplas 1999 with a number of leading processing companies moving their production operations to countries with cheaper overheads and many others struggling for survival. A manufacturing recession as bad as any in living memory has been the principal cause for the industry’s difficulties, while the strength of the British currency has prevented export sales from providing any compensation for the downturn in local business.

Unique plastics product design challenge takes place at Interplas 2002
The Plastics Design Committee of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (The former Institute of Materials) will be exhibiting at Interplas for the first time. The IOM3 Design Committee is unique amongst the UK Institutes and they have devised a plastics design competition to be staged as part of the Interplas programme.
