Omnexus was created and funded by the following companies: Atofina, BASF AG,

Bayer AG, Biesterfeld, Clariant, Dow Chemical, DSM, DuPont, Ellis & Everard, PolyOne, Resinex & Ravago, Solvay and Ticona/Celanese. It has already grown to more than 20 multinational suppliers and is now adding equipment, tooling and MRO suppliers:

ATOFINA, chemical branch of the oil group TotalFinaElf, was created in April 2000 from the merger of the chemical and petrochemical activities of TotalFina and Elf Aquitaine. With a turnover in excess of Euro 17 billion in 1999, Atofina is the world's fifth largest chemical company. Atofina’s chemical activities hold leading positions both in Europe and in the world of each of their markets: Petrochemicals and Commodity Polymers, Intermediates and Performance Polymers and Specialty Chemicals.

BASF AG

BASF is a return-focused global company generating long-term growth and profitability from its activities in chemicals, health and nutrition, and oil and gas. The company's product range includes high-value chemicals, plastics, dyestuffs and pigments, dispersions, automobile and industrial coatings, crop protection products, pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, crude oil and natural gas. Bayer AG

Biesterfeld

Wilhelm E.H. Biesterfeld – founded 1906 - combines distribution and international trading in chemicals with excellent logistics, technical assistance for developments and regional sales teams for customers in the plastics, industrial, agricultural and specialty chemicals fields. With more than 1,300 employees and 40 locations the company is serving customers in Germany, in Europe, North and South America, as well as the Far East.

Clariant is a leading global fine and specialty chemicals company with more than 30,000 employees and annual sales of more than US$ 6 billion. Clariant has six divisions: Pigments and Additives, Masterbatches, Textile, Leather and Paper Chemicals, Functional Chemicals, Life Science and Electronic Chemicals and Cellulose Ethers and Polymerisates. The company has grown out of the Sandoz Chemicals division and the Hoechst specialty chemicals business, integrated in the summer of 1997. Clariant operates worldwide with Group companies in more than 60 countries. It is headquartered in Muttenz near Basel, Switzerland.
