Attachmate myEXTRA! Smart Connectors integrate existing business processes into new enterprise applications
December 2002 -- Attachmate Corporation, 20-year veterans of enterprise presentation and application integration, today announced the release of myEXTRA!™ Smart Connectors, a comprehensive line of data and logic access tools that securely expose legacy information and applications to serve new business initiatives. myEXTRA! Smart Connectors let organizations convert legacy host-based information to XML, Web services, or component technologies, such as EJB™ and COM+, which can be used by multiple applications across the enterprise. "Integration can account for 40% of the costs in large application roll-outs," said Markus Nitschke, Vice President of Marketing for Attachmate. GREAT LAKES ACQUIRES NON-STAINING ANTIOXIDANTS BUSINESS FROM FLEXSYS AMERICA
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA—Great Lakes Chemical Corporation (NYSE:GLK) today announced it has acquired Flexsys America’s non-staining phenolic antioxidants business that includes process technology associated with Santonox® TBMC, Santovar® TAHQ, and Santowhite® BBMC. Great Lakes will market these products under its established line of Lowinox® non-staining antioxidants, which protect against oxygen degradation and discoloration during processing. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Midland, Mich. (November 28, 2002) ― A new generation of silicone rubber compounds has been developed for molding high-voltage insulators, surge arresters, weather sheds and other HV components. All are high-consistency rubber (HCR) products in the Dow Corning® 1600 series, designed to deliver outstanding tracking resistance over a wide voltage range, superior wet electrical performance, hydrophobic transfer and recovery, as well as good mold release and other processing characteristics.(See Table 1.)

Akzo Nobel signs global agreement with Daihatsu
