GREAT LAKES ACQUIRES NON-STAINING ANTIOXIDANTS BUSINESS FROM FLEXSYS AMERICA

Great LakesINDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA—Great Lakes Chemical Corporation (NYSE:GLK) today announced it has acquired Flexsys America’s non-staining phenolic antioxidants business that includes process technology associated with Santonox® TBMC, Santovar® TAHQ, and Santowhite® BBMC. Great Lakes will market these products under its established line of Lowinox® non-staining antioxidants, which protect against oxygen degradation and discoloration during processing. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
