Distrupol going from strength to strength in Nordic region

The Nordic arm of Distrupol, a member company of Univar and a leading European polymer distributor, technical service and solutions provider, has been strengthening its team and raising its profile to good effect in the Nordic business arena. Its recent presence at the Muovi Plastics 2002 exhibition in Lahti, Finland, was its biggest yet and involved the whole Finnish organisation of Distrupol.

According to Thomas Andersson, Distrupol Sales Director Nordic:”Muovi Plastics serves the regional market well; it provides a good indication of the state of the industry at a local level. It’s an opportunity to come face to face with virtually all of our customers and potential customers and therefore delivers more value than the major international events.” The Muovi Plastics event is staged every third year and has a regular nucleus of 130 exhibitors and attracts around 8,000 plastics professionals from the Nordic region.

“The show also provided an important focus for us as it was the first exhibition in the Nordic area for Distrupol since the integration of MBS Plastics with Distrupol in October last year, says Thomas Andersson. “It enabled us to present our new team to a wide audience, particularly in introducing Tom Guldbrand as the new Business Area Manager for Finland.”

Tom Guldbrand joined Distrupol in May of this year, bringing with him 20 years of experience in the Finnish plastics industry. He previously held positions at Dow Corning and Bayer in the region. Mr. Guldbrand leads the Finnish team, that also includes Jari Kantonen and Tiina Sundqvist, who have a wealth of technical, sales and customer care experience between them.

“Distrupol is the market leader in the Nordic region, but there is still room for further improvement and growth. We have every confidence that we have the people, the products and can offer the service needed to exceed our customers expectations in order to achieve that,” concludes Andersson.
