GE Plastics setzt seine Investitionen in die Global Application Technology (GApT) in Europa fort. Dafür steht u. a. die Installation einer Twin-Sheet-Thermoformmaschine mit Hochdruck-Hydraulikform-Funktion, deren Inbetriebnahme für April 2006 geplant ist. Mit der Twin-Sheet-Thermoformmaschine wird GE in die Lage versetzt, doppelwandige Hohlteile für Märkte wie Kraftfahrzeuge, Lastwagen, Wohnmobile oder Baugewerbe und Konstruktion herzustellen. Zu den möglichen Applikationen gehören Buspaneelen und Zugangstüren mit hoher Steifigkeit sowie Gehäuse oder Platten mit thermischer oder akustischer Isolierung.BERGEN OP ZOOM, NIEDERLANDE – 16. Eine zweite Investition besteht aus einer 1600 Tonnen schweren 2K-Spritzgussmaschine, die im vierten Quartal im GE Centre of Excellence in Bergen op Zoom in den Niederlanden ihren Betrieb aufnehmen soll.

(April 10, 2006) Wabash Technologies selected Stanyl® for the transmission sensor used on heavy-duty full size and commercial trucks. Stanyl TW200F8 (40% glass reinforced polyamide 46) is used for the main body of the sensor and Stanyl TW271F6 (30% glass reinforced polyamide 46) is used for the rotor.
