A GE Melhorando a Segurança do Pedestre: Resina XENOY* da Empresa Ajuda a Redefinir Sistemas de Proteção a Impacto de Pedestre
BERGEN OP ZOOM, OLANDA – A GE Advanced Materials, Automotivo desenvolveu novos designs e materiais para Proteção a Impacto de Pedestres com o objetivo de ajudar fabricantes de automóveis e fornecedores de auto-pecas a projetar sistemas de segurança para pára-choques. No novo conceito de segurança da GE, os absorvedores de energia moldados com a resina XENOY* da empresa são colocados logo atrás do pára-choque do veículo para amortecer possíveis impactos. A GE desenvolveu o conceito para ajudar a atender à nova legislação da União Européia (UE) de proteção ao pedestre que entrará em vigor em 2005.

Dureal™ abre o primeiro posto de abastecimento de adblue em La Jonquera, Espanha
Barcelona, 5 de Abril de 2005 – Foi hoje inaugurado oficialmente o primeiro posto de abastecimento de adblue em Espanha, na localidade de La Jonquera. Trata-se de um local que é considerado um dos maiores pontos de paragem de camiões na Europa, encontrando-se na estrada AP7 /N II, que constitui a principal de ligação entre Espanha e França. Esta unidade de abastecimento de adblue, usado como reagente em veículos a diesel de grande porte equipados com SCR, a fim de cumprir com os requisitos das normas de emissão Euro IV, foi fornecida pela Dureal ™ e será dirigida a partir de Tortuga.

Owens Corning Introduces New SE 8400 Low Seed Single-End Continuous Roving for High-Voltage Applications
PARIS, France: April 5, 2005 – At the JEC Composites Show, Owens Corning today introduced SE 8400 LS, a new single-end Type 30® roving to meet the demanding electrical requirements for such pultruded FRP applications as medium- and high-voltage transmission and distribution (T&D) long-rod insulators. SE 8400 LS combines the anti-corrosion, electrical, and mechanical benefits of boron free Advantex® E-glass manufactured using state-of-the-art glass melting technology and advanced low-seed filament technologies, ensuring seed levels well below .5 seeds/gram. Minimizing microscopic bubble voids or “seeds” in the glass avoids the formation of hollow filaments, which increase conductance, offering the path of least resistance to the electrical energy, and causing system failure.

RCS bietet Kompetenz für Heizung und Kühlung
Mit Innovativen Lösungen für Heizung und Kühlung präsentiert sich die in Ybbs (Österreich) ansässige RCS Raum Clima Systeme GmbH & Co KG auf der Fachmesse für Energie-Raum-Gebäude (ERG) vom 26. bis zum 29. April 2005 in Wien in Halle C, Stand 0117. Im Zentrum des Messeauftritts von RCS stehen richtungsweisende ClimaCool-Heiz-/Kühldecken, die als energieeffiziente Flächentemperiersysteme in zwei grundlegenden Varianten lieferbar sind: ClimaCool Wet (CCW) für die minutenschnelle Temperierung von Ortbetondecken, und ClimaCool Dry (CCD) mit abschließenden Gipskarton-Thermoplatten für Abhängedecken.
