DSM gaat met Vepa samenwerken om poedercoatingtechnologie verder te promoten
Royal DSM, een wetenschappelijk bedrijf dat wereldwijd actief is op het gebied van gezondheid, voeding en materialen, gaat samenwerken met Vepa, een marktleider op het gebied van het ontwerp van projectmeubilair. Het doel van deze samenwerking is de waarde van poedercoatingtechniek als operationeel handig en duurzaam alternatief voor vloeibare coatings op oplosmiddelenbasis voor warmtegevoelige substraten verder aan te tonen. In eerste instantie gaat Vepa één meubelproductlijn produceren met de bedrijfseigen poedercoatingtechnologie van DSM, die in augustus 2018 op de markt gaat komen. Een tweede productlijn wordt eind 2018 geïntroduceerd.

Nieuwe methode om medicijnen in oog af te leveren gaat klinische testfase in
Geleen – 05 juni 2018 - een van de oogprojecten van het Chemelot Institute for Science and Technology (InSciTe) heeft toestemming gekregen van de Inspectie Gezondheidszorg en Jeugd (IGJ) om de klinische testfase te starten. Binnen het zogenoemde Ocular Coil Drug Delivery Comfort Trial-project (OCDC) is een innovatieve manier ontwikkeld om medicijnen in het oog af te leveren. Het OCDC-project is het eerste publiek-private ontwikkeltraject binnen InSciTe dat binnen 3 jaar de klinische fase bereikt heeft. Een mijlpaal voor de projectpartners als ook voor InSciTe.
