Borealis reports second quarter profit in weak market
Borealis today announced its second quarter result, showing an operating profit before restructuring charges of EUR 21 million and a net profit of EUR 4 million after tax.

Owens Corning and Saint-Gobain to Build Joint Glass Reinforcement Facility in Mexico
Toledo, Ohio, July 30, 2003 – Owens Corning and Saint-Gobain stated today that they will locate their previously announced joint manufacturing venture in Xicohtencatl, Tlaxcala, Mexico, adjacent to a Saint-Gobain Vetrotex America facility. This joint venture will deliver the highest quality glass fiber reinforcements products to the growing composites marketplace. Construction is expected to begin in early August.

Bosch concentrates on Technyl® for oil separators
Freiburg, Germany, June 25, 2003 – System supplier Bosch Waiblingen Kunststofftechnik, in collaboration with Rhodia Engineering Plastics’ Application Development Centre Automotive in Freiburg, has developed housings and other elements manufactured using Technyl® reinforced polyamide for two new oil separator concepts for diesel engines. DaimlerChrysler is currently considering using the stand-alone solution of this oil separator with three hose connections for its A-Class diesel models.
