Düsseldorf; 18.06.2008 – Die NEC Deutschland GmbH gibt die Gründung des neuen, europaweit agierenden Geschäftsbereichs Identification Solutions Division (ISD) mit Hauptsitz in Düsseldorf bekannt. Der zentrale Anlass für seine Gründung ist der wachsende Bedarf an behördlicherseits eingesetzten biometrischen Lösungen in Europa. Der Fokus der neuen Abteilung besteht darin, vom Hauptstandort Düsseldorf und den Niederlassungen in London und Amsterdam aus sowie in Zusammenarbeit mit NEC-Töchtern, Partnern und Kunden für die Bereitstellung biometrischer Systeme in ganz Europa zu sorgen. Diese Systeme sollen im öffentlichen Bereich, von Strafverfolgungsbehörden, im Transportsektor sowie bei Grenzkontrollen eingesetzt werden.

The new pallet and cargo net system delivers an unmatched combination of durability, low maintenance, very low weight and mass for easier handling, expanded freight capacity, the ability to fly longer and at higher altitudes, environmentally conscious design, and better fuel economy. Thanks to the exceptional strength-to-weight ratio provided by Dyneema® High Performance PolyEthylene (HPPE) fiber, the new Capewell pallet and net system is the lightest in the world.

This new product fully complies with the Ohio State University (OSU) 65/65 standard and flame/smoke toxicity regulations, avoiding the need for waivers, and providing better weight-out for fuel economy than traditional polyvinyl chloride (PVC/acrylic) sheet products. DSM Engineering Plastics recently announced that its XANTAR® C CE 407 resin allows NedTrain, a provider of train car maintenance and overhaul services, to supply state-of-the-art cladding systems for walls and ceilings in passenger coaches. The DSM resin not only provides aesthetic yet durable, and low-maintenance cladding systems, but also complies with strict flame, smoke and toxicity regulations. Further, XANTAR® C CE 407 resin is environmental friendly as it contains the newest flame retardant technology. Finally, this resin helped NedTrain achieve its goal of cost savings in both the production and maintenance of claddings.
