Clariant to Showcase Full Portfolio of Controlled Atmosphere Packaging Solutions at InnoPack 2013
Muttenz, September 23, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, represented by its Masterbatches Business Unit with business segments Healthcare Packaging and Masterbatches for medical applications, will exhibit and present at InnoPack 2013, a co-event at CPhI in Frankfurt, Germany, held Oct. 22-24. At booth 41F39, Healthcare Packaging will display its extensive portfolio of controlled atmosphere packaging solutions, including its active, dust-free Advanced Desiccant Polymer (ADP®) technology, which delivers exceptional adsorbent capabilities that are integrated directly into thermoplastics used in packaging and devices. Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, has announced that it has expanded its partnership with the Ravago Group, a leader in distribution, resale, compounding and recycling of plastic and elastomeric raw materials. The two companies have combined DSM’s expertise in polyamide 6 with Ravago’s recycling know-how to develop a portfolio of glass reinforced recycled PA6 compounds. The materials will be offered by DSM directly and distributed by Ravago Group member Resinex, which has a leading position in the plastics and rubbers distribution market across Europe and Turkey, and which is already a well-established distributor of DSM engineering plastics.
The Perstorp Group, a world leader in specialty chemicals, will be presenting the next generation of co-polyesters at K Fair 2013. This will include Akestra™, a high performance plastic with remarkable properties. Perstorp have formed a strategic partnership with Mitsubishi Gas Chemical to develop and distribute this exciting co-polyester throughout Europe. On a long term, this will result in both companies jointly establishing the most competitive production platform in Europe for the raw material used in these co-polyesters.
