All Quadrant Radel PPSU LSG stock shapes are certified biocompatible according to ISO 10993, giving designers the confidence that their finished products will successfully past testing whilst at the same time allowing for faster product development at reduced costs. In addition, Quadrant offers lot traceability of its LSG stock shapes while traceability is typically available only for raw materials and guarantees consistency in formulations. Standard colours available now include black, natural (off-white), blue, green yellow, grey, brown, rust-coloured and red, whilst custom colours can be produced on request. Quadrant Radel PPSU LSG stock shapes are available globally as rods and sheets in various sizes, allowing manufacturers to optimize yield with minimized waste. Quadrant’s engineering and service capabilities also include design and production of finished parts.

Ford has selected Arnitel TPC from DSM Engineering Plastics for the production of vacuum brake tubes for its recently launched new Ford Fiesta. In doing so, Ford has acknowledged the advantages of Arnitel for this specific application. Ford already uses Arnitel in similar applications in a number of its models: Ford Mondeo, Ford S-Max, Ford C-Max, Ford Galaxy and Ford Focus.

McLEAN (VA), June 25, 2009 - DSM Dyneema today introduced Dyneema® HB80, a unidirectional (UD) composite that meets the joint US Army and Marine challenge to increase the fragmentation performance by at least 35 percent of advanced combat helmets. Dyneema® HB80 also has the potential to provide law enforcement SWAT units with helmets offering existing protection at half the current weight. It is the latest product in an expanding series of materials being developed by DSM Dyneema to substantially lighten the load for soldiers and law enforcement.

URMOND (NL), June 24, 2009 - DSM Dyneema today launched Dyneema® BT10, its first commercially available product made from a novel, proprietary ballistic tape (BT) technology. The announcement was made jointly at the DVD exhibition, (Millbrook, UK), with Ten Cate Advanced Armour, who has selected Dyneema® BT10 for armor upgrading on the Patria XA-188 APC commissioned by the Dutch DMO (Defensie Materieel Organisatie). The vehicles will be used by the Dutch military forces stationed in Afghanistan and delivery is expected to be completed by October 2009.
